    Job Description

    ** OVERVIEW**

    The Application Engineer plays a critical role in the relationship between the customer, manufacturing and the engineering department. Part of the Sales and Marketing team reporting directly to the Product Director – Sales Suppression Systems, this position coordinates technical and sales related support regarding AMEREX Pre-Engineered Kitchen Protection and Industrial Systems.

    ** JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**

    • Key technical contact for customers.
    • Ensure that information regarding customer requests and/or complaints is provided accurately and efficiently.
    • Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding products and services.
    • Develop Bill of Materials for Kitchen and Industrial Systems to support sales and customers.
    • Make decisions and judgments on customer issues.
    • Maintain records of customer interactions and technical issues with the assistance of an AI tool.
    • Support ongoing projects with OEM and Chain account partners in the deployment of KP and IS Systems.
    • Act as a liaison between the customer and the engineering department.
    • Collaborate with the engineering team to address customer feedback and improve product designs.
    • Work with marketing to communicate changes or new products and distribute to customers.
    • Assist in the creation of literature and sales brochures including specification sheets
    • Meet weekly with planning and manufacturing to confirm production and delivery schedules.
    • On time preparation of various weekly, quarterly, and annual (internal) reports.
    • Coordination and scheduling of field rework campaigns as needed.
    • Occasional Travel.
    • Other Duties as Required.

    Education and Experience Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
    • Minimum of 2 years of customer and/or technical experience.
    • Customer Centric attitude - ability to deliver great customer service externally. and internally with customers from diverse worldwide backgrounds.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
    • Must be able to work both independently and as a team member.
    • Must have the ability to maintain a calm demeanor when dealing with potentially upset customers.
    • Ability to gain comprehensive knowledge of Amerex products and services to advise and assist customers.
    • Project management skills and experience – accuracy and timeliness in meeting deadlines.
    • Self-motivated.
    • Detail oriented personality.
    • Experience in multitasking and meeting deadlines.
    • Ability to read and understand engineering prints/drawings.
    • Good conflict resolution and a willingness to tackle any customer opportunity.
    • Experience in Microsoft Office, Excel, Access, Word, and Power Point.
    • Experience using Microsoft D-365 business system a plus.
