    Help save lives by supporting local overdose prevention coalitions. VISTA Volunteers help design community assessments, build communications campaigns, and strengthen local partnerships.

    Healthy Communities

    Help build capacity of organizations working on a range of public health initiatives. VISTA Volunteers develop evaluation plans, design training programs, and create community outreach materials.

    Central Coast Overdose Prevention (CCODP) is a nonprofit dedicated to promoting client and community health through outreach, education, and compassionate care. We serve individuals navigating substance use, homelessness, and reentry from incarceration, as well as youth and families impacted by these challenges. Guided by values of dignity, inclusion, and resilience, our team works across Monterey, San Benito, and Santa Cruz counties to build trust, expand access to resources, and create lasting community change. www.ccodp.org

    AmeriCorps is the federal agency for national service and volunteerism. Through a partnership between AmeriCorps and PHI Center for Health Leadership & Impact, AmeriCorps Volunteers are placed in high need areas throughout California to help build capacity of organizations and coalitions to address overdose prevention and build healthier communities.

    Requirements

    Must be able to commit to a 12-month term (40 hours/week) and serve on-site within California communities. Relocation and settling-in allowance are available.

    Pay: $32,370.00 per year
