    Job Description

    THIS IS AN EXCITING OPPORTUNITY TO JOIN OUR RAPID GROWING HCM TRANSITION DIVISION.  WE ARE 100% REMOTE

    JOB BRIEF

    We are looking for an HRIS Specialist who is ready to jump in and use their skill set in order to manage and facilitate client transitions from one HRIS/Payroll System to another.   

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Attend and actively participate in all implementation meetings for assigned clients
    • Schedule and lead weekly or biweekly touch base calls with clients in order to remain aligned on project goals and deadlines
    • Communicate frequently with clients and your teammates to ensure all parties are rowing in the same direction
    • Assist with the data migration process from the legacy system to the new system according to the process of the new system’s Implementation team
    • Audit and validate data brought into the new system
    • Build and test all modules we have been contracted for including: Payroll, Timekeeping, Recruiting, Onboarding, Benefits, Performance Management, LMS, Workflows, Surveys and sometimes Expenses & Compensation Management
    • Provide creative solutions for hurdles clients run into both in the legacy and new systems
    • Update our internal Project Management system (Smartsheet) with updated timeline and any necessary information in order to give visible access to the leadership team
    • Provide red carpet customer service in all areas of the implementation – this doesn’t mean always saying yes!

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Technology savvy to include experience with a variety of payroll/HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Project Management systems
    • Decent knowledge of payroll, timekeeping, and tax processes and compliance
    • Experience in at least two of the following systems: Paylocity, Paycor, Paycom, UKG (formerly UltiPro and Kronos)
    • Ability to take ownership and accountability of projects and responsibilities
    • At least 2 years in a client-facing role
    • Strong time management skills

    WHO ARE WE REALLY LOOKING FOR?

    Our HRIS Implementation Specialists provide expert knowledge and recommendations about the clients chosen HRIS vendor. They assist in the data migration and validation process to ensure a smooth transfer from the legacy system to the new system. While we need someone with experience in a multitude of systems, we also need someone who is willing to jump in and learn a system they have never used. There is always more to learn!

    A good HRIS Specialist is someone who takes initiative and has great attention to detail. They are also personable and can take ownership of the client and vendor relationships on their assigned projects. They are able to navigate the complexities that come up in different HRIS/HCM implementations and work together with their team to come up with creative and out-of-the-box solutions.

    DATA IS YOUR 2ND LANGUAGE. You can take data from one system and identify any issues or holes and find reports to patch them. You are able to use tools and formulas in excel in order to eliminate human error in correcting or merging data.

    YOU’RE A TEAM PLAYER AND THAT INCLUDES YOUR CLIENTS. You see yourself as an extension of their team in the implementation process and can advocate for their needs if things get lost in translation between them and the vendor. You’re a quick thinker but thorough in thought process.

    YOU WORK INDEPENDENTLY. We are a team but you will be working independently on many tasks. This doesn’t mean you are alone in them but that you take ownership in reaching out for help when you need it. We are here to support you but need someone who can communicate their needs in order to stay on track in project timelines.

    YOU DO WHAT YOU SAY YOU’RE GOING TO DO. We don’t want someone who says, “Yes I can absolutely get you that by the end of the day…” when you actually have meetings all day. Prioritizing your time and managing client meetings and tasks that need to be completed comes natural to you and you can communicate those timelines well.
