Wound Care Physician

AmeriWound, LLC is hiring a physician to cover 2-4 facilities South of Chicago. Starting with two + 2 more facilities available with business growth. The position is permanent, part-time, seeing ~25-40 patients/week to start. Wound care experience is NOT required; as we train you in 2-3 weeks.

Practicing primarily, but not limited to, skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), assisted living facilities (ALFs), long-term care and rehabilitation hospitals as per the schedule provided by our respective territory Regional Manager (RM). Physician follows the weekly facility patient visit schedule coordinated by the RM and Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) per facility.

PRIOR WOUND CARE EXPERIENCE IS NOT REQUIRED.

Highlights:

• Hiring both part-time 2 days/week and full-time 4-5 days/week (benefits for FT only)

• Hours: Monday-Friday ~7am to 4pm; no evenings, weekends, call, or holidays

• Uncapped W-2 earning potential; Monthly income variable per provider - directly proportionate to documentation, number of patient visits per month, number of facilities willing to cover, etc.

• Instruments provided by AmeriWound, such as, debridement kits & hurricane spray. Facilities provide antibiotics, dressings, and treatment carts. Wound care/treatment nurse to round with you at each facility.

• Malpractice provided for both full and part-time physicians

• Mileage reimbursement based on standard IRS guidelines

Responsibilities:

• Round weekly at assigned facilities within territory

• Diagnose patient conditions via physical examination and/or telemedicine

• Perform medical procedures i.e. debridements as necessary

• Communicate and collaborate on findings and treatments with facility clinical staff

• Communicate information to patients regarding diagnosis and treatment goals

• Document each patient visit in company EMR - APRIMA and maintain patient medical records on company assigned laptop computer

• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities as necessary

Qualifications:

• MD, DO

• Board Certified/Board Eligible

• Active, unrestricted state medical license

• DEA license

• Valid driver license

• Ability to build and maintain rapport with facility staff and patients

• Proficiency documenting EMR w/ strong attention to detail
