    Job Description: Back End Developer at the American Association of Christian Counselors

    The American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) seeks a skilled and experienced Back End Developer to join our technology team. As a Back End Developer, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining the technical infrastructure that supports our organization's online presence, membership platform, e-commerce functionality, and learning management system. Your expertise in the specified technology stack, including WordPress, HubSpot, Woo Commerce, LearnDash, and Amazon Web Services, will be instrumental in ensuring a seamless and efficient user experience for our members and visitors.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide technical expertise, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.
    2. Design, develop, and maintain the back end of our websites, membership platform, e-commerce functionality, and learning management system.
    3. Implement and integrate plugins, themes, and custom code within WordPress and other platforms to meet specific requirements.
    4. Optimize and enhance website performance, security, and scalability using best practices and industry standards.
    5. Manage and maintain databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and efficient retrieval.
    6. Monitor and troubleshoot website and system issues, addressing bugs, errors, and performance bottlenecks.
    7. Collaborate with front-end developers and designers to implement responsive and user-friendly interfaces.
    8. Integrate third-party services and APIs to enhance functionality and user experience.
    9. Ensure proper version control, code documentation, and deployment processes are followed.
    10. Stay updated with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in the web development field, and share knowledge with the team.

    Requirements:

    1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
    2. Proven experience as a Back End Developer, with a strong focus on WordPress, Hubspot, Woo Commerce, LearnDash, and Amazon Web Services.
    3. Solid understanding of PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, and related technologies.
    4. Experience developing and customizing WordPress themes and plugins.
    5. Proficiency in using APIs and integrating third-party services.
    6. Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
    7. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
    8. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality code.
    9. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    10. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team environment.

    Preferred Skills:

    1. Experience with other CMS platforms and e-commerce solutions.
    2. Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks).
    3. Familiarity with responsive web design principles.
    4. Experience with AWS services like EC2, S3, and RDS.
