  • Responsibilities

    Job Summary

    Operates IPC Towers and decomposers. Assists maintenance when needed, Move finished goods to the warehouse. Backup to the Lead Operator.

    Summary of Essential Job Functions

    Performs operator duties on IPC Towers, decomposers, power mills and finished product packaging.

    Operates forklifts to move material to warehouse.

    Performs housekeeping of their work area.

    Moves, stacks and stores materials in the Warehouse and Plant areas using pallet jacks, and hand trucks and powered lift trucks.

    Performs inspections of safety equipment and make corrections or tags out equipment as the situation indicates.

    Assists with unscheduled and scheduled maintenance, using tools and equipment to support installations operations of equipment.

    Cleans exterior of tanks, buildings, and equipment with high pressure washer.

    Assists Operators on his/her shift with production or equipment problems and notifies supervisor when needed.

    Must provide relief for Lead Operator when on leave.

    Requirements

    Two years of operating chemical process equipment able to demonstrate skills using basic math and able to perform maintenance functioning using traditional maintenance tools.

    High School Diploma or equivalent.

    · Capable of lifting and walking with weights approaching 50lbs.

    · Be able to perform very strenuous jobs while wearing breathing air masks, proper PPE and other safety-related material.

    · Required to walk and stand continuously in the units while performing assigned duties.

    · Turns, stoops, kneels crouched, reaches, pulls, handles, lifts and carries containers with materials and products.

    · Must be calm and stable under emergency situations.

    · Must be able to perform job duties with minimal supervision.

    · Talking, hearing, color vision and depth perception, and good peripheral vision are required to properly operate forklift, perform testing and communicate results.
