Driver Job Responsibilities (This list is not inclusive of all duties assigned) The right candidate will possess the following skills and abilities: * Responsible for a daily transportation schedule provided by the medical office. * Ensures that schedule provided by medical office is accurate and includes all the appropriate patient information (name, address, telephone numbers.) * Maintains contact with medical office and patients in the case of unforeseen changes. * Adheres and ensures that all patients are being transported using safety procedures required by law. * Demonstrate professional courtesy and impeccable customer service according to company standards during transportation. * Responsible for keeping the company assigned vehicle clean, orderly and in proper working condition according to company standards. * Ensures that licenses and insurance documentation pertaining to company assigned vehicle are safely locked in the vehicles compartment at all times. * Must abide by all Florida driving laws. * Understand and follow applicable Federal and Florida State laws and regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles; comply with American Care policies to ensure patient safety and protect patient privacy and security. Driver Qualifications * Bilingual * High School diploma or equivalent. * Minimum 1-3 years of transportation experience required. * Must possess a valid Florida State Drivers License with a satisfactory motor vehicle record for a minimum of 1-3 years. * Capable of using and understanding a GPS and have the ability to read and use maps accurately. * Exhibits excellent interpersonal skills in order to interact with a diverse patient population. * Must possess a high degree of integrity and trust along with the ability to work independently. * Demonstrates physical ability to withstand frequent to prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking while performing transportation functions.
