Registered Dietician- Kansas
We have a need for a contract Registered Dietitian to work at a hospital in Smith County, KS
Duties:
\- Conduct patient assessments to determine their nutritional needs and develop personalized meal plans
\- Provide nutrition counseling and education to patients on healthy eating habits and lifestyle modifications
\- Monitor patients' progress and make a
\- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients with specific medical conditions
\- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in the field of nutrition and incorporate evidence-based practices into patient care
\- Conduct diagnostic evaluations to identify nutritional deficiencies or imbalances in patients
\- Provide guidance on tube feeding and ensure proper administration and monitoring
Experience:
\- Bachelor's degree in Dietetics or a related field
\- Registered Dietitian (RD) certification
\- Strong knowledge of human physiology and its relationship to nutrition
\- Experience in conducting patient assessments and developing personalized meal plans
\- Proficiency in health coaching techniques to motivate and support patients in achieving their nutrition goals
Skills:
\- In-depth knowledge of various dietary guidelines, including those for specific medical conditions (e.g., diabetes, heart disease)
\- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate and counsel patients on nutrition-related topics
\- Strong analytical skills to assess patients' nutritional needs and develop appropriate meal plans
\- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
\- Attention to detail to accurately track patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to their meal plans
