    Job Description

    COORDINATOR, ENTERTAINMENT & CRUISE PROGRAMMING American Cruise Lines is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Coordinator, Entertainment & Cruise Programming to work in our Guilford, CT office. This position will work directly with the Manager, Guest Programs to manage and supervise all entertainment and cruise programming for the leader in small-ship cruising with a rapidly growing fleet.

    Candidates must have significant experience and expertise in cruise entertainment selection, supervision and operations, as well as innovative activity creation, training and scheduling. The Coordinator, Entertainment & Cruise Programming will collaborate with the Guest Programs team and other departments to create a memorable onboard experience for our guests.

    The Coordinator, Entertainment & Cruise Programming must be extraordinarily creative, organized, accurate, detail-oriented, communicative, and must enjoy working with a team and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Source, select and manage the scheduling of all entertainers for the fleet
    • Continuously evaluate and coach all entertainers, ensuring that minimum performance and ratings requirements are exceeded at all times
    • Supervise and collaborate with Cruise Directors in the creation, development, scheduling and execution of all onboard activities and events
    • Review and adjust all cruise programming and onboard collateral regularly
    • Research and recommend new activities, events and other product enhancements
    • Create and maintain an onboard activities manual
    • Oversee the operation, training, repair and replacement of entertainment technical systems, including in-stateroom television systems, throughout the fleet
    • Oversee invoice control for all entertainer payroll and entertainment- and activity-related expenses
    • Ensure positive entertainer and entertainment supplier relations through open, accurate communication and relationship building
    • Maintain thorough awareness and competitive analysis of company competitors and their product offerings
    • Collaborate with the Guest Programs team to create unique, memorable and branded guest experiences
    • Perform significant administrative duties as required

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent industry experience required; entertainment and/or event planning experience preferred
    • Ability to accurately and objectively assess entertainers, musicians, events and activities
    • Strong general knowledge of entertainment technical systems and operations
    • Strong organizational skills and a high level of verbal, written and listening skills
    • Ability to multi-task with extreme precision
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
    • Must be positive, enthusiastic and outgoing; a consummate team player
    • Significant travel required
    • Pre-employment drug test
