The position is responsible for planning, reporting, evaluating, and controlling the financial aspects of
the Company. Oversee the accounting and finance policies and procedures and then apply them.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Supervise the General Accounting, Tax, and Accounts Payable groups. Responsible for all
functions and duties within these areas.
- Oversee the fixed asset/capital expenditure processes.
- Report and interpret results of operations on a timely basis to all levels of management.
o Includes the formulation of accounting policies
o The coordination of systems and procedures
o The preparation of operating data and special reports as required.
- Prepare and/or review internal/external financial statements/schedules.
- Prepare and/or review reports to the Board of Directors and committees.
- Monitor compliance with the company debt covenants.
- Evaluate and consult with all levels of management.
- Supervise and/or coordinates the preparation of reports to government
Agencies regarding federal, state and local tax law, annual reports, etc.
- Review and evaluate internal policy and procedure to assess the adequacy and effectiveness
of the controls on a consistent basis.
- Provide internal controls and awareness (in lieu of auditing) to the accounting staff and apply
those controls to daily activity.
- Review account monthly and quarterly account reconciliations, according to the account
reconciliation schedule.
- Implement new accounting guidance and complete accounting/tax research as needed.
- Coordinate the forecasting and budgeting processes.
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis, as needed.
- Perform other duties as directed.

Required Skills

Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. MBA and/or CPA preferred.
Full understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.
Thorough understanding of payroll, accounts payable, fixed assets, credit and collections, tax processes and controls.
Knowledge in Multi-state tax law preferred.
Excellent computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Access and Power Point. JD Edwards and Business Objects/Crystal experience preferred.
Professional oral and written interpersonal communication.
5-8 years of experience as an accounting manager in a comparable organization or in public accounting.
2-3 Years of supervisory experience.
