Summary
American Family Care (AFC) is seeking a Real Estate Manager who will be responsible for managing the real estate site selection process and providing real estate support for AFC Franchising, LLC. The Real Estate Manager will be working directly with franchise owners of American Family Care centers.
This position will lead the site selection process for new AFC centers within time and resource constraints, partnering with national real estate brokers and franchisees to qualify real estate for AFC site requirements.
This position is based at the AFC Corporate Office in Birmingham, AL with travel requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Act as primary contact for franchisees from initial introduction through lease signing.
· Partner with national real estate brokers to procure site options to present to franchisees.
· Identify, review, and analyze potential real estate opportunities.
· Review and provide insight on trade areas, site selection, and deal management best practices.
· Lead preparation of Site Acceptance Packages to present sites to AFC Real Estate Committee.
· Utilize Geographic Information Systems to provide analytics to support decision making.
· Procure documents necessary for comprehensive review of potential properties.
· Act as the main point of contact for national broker partners.
· Maintain detailed records of existing AFC real estate portfolio and available trade areas.
· Monitor performance of broker partners to ensure customer expectations are maintained or exceeded.
· Participate in all real estate related and site review meetings.
· Provide project and departmental status reports to members weekly, including milestone updates on site negotiations.
· Ensure accuracy and proper control of all project or initiative documentation, to include confidentiality for any sensitive information related to project or initiative goals or objectives
· Build credibility and confidence in the store development program through timely and insightful support.
· Ensure all projects or initiatives follow and are compliant with company policies and procedures, as well as any applicable federal and state laws.

Educational Requirements
· BS degree in Real Estate, Business, or related field required.
· 3-5 years of retail or commercial real estate experience required.
· Preferred: experience in corporate real estate or franchising
