    Staff Accountant job Description

    The Staff Accountant will handle full cycle of accounting duties of American Family Care and subsidiary companies. The position is responsible for, but not limited to, maintaining the day-to-day accounting functions, reconciliations, billing, and other ad hoc accounting duties as required.

    The essential job duties shall include, but not be limited to, the following:

    · Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts

    · Record monthly accounts receivable invoices and receipts

    · Assist in billing and accounts receivable follow-up

    · Prepare and/or review of credit card activity and recording associated journal entries

    · Analyze expense accounts

    · Prepare monthly closing general ledger entries

    · Assist in the production and consolidation of monthly financial statements

    · Maintain required business documents

    · Assist with the tax filing process

    · Perform other related duties as may be requested by upper management

    Qualifications:

    · BS degree in Accounting or Finance

    · Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

    · Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel)

    · Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment

    · Highly organized, self-sufficient and detail oriented

    · Able to complete tasks accurately and timely with minimal supervision

    · Strong verbal and written communication skills

    · Ability to interface well with teammates, customers and external contacts

    · Proven ability to maintain confidentiality
