    We are seeking a Medical Assistant who is highly motivated, well-organized, and exceptionally detail-orientated to join our team at our new urgent care center.     In support of our rapid nationwide growth, we have recently opened a new urgent care facility in Pleasanton, California. We are seeking exceptional applicants for a part-time onsite Medical Assistant to be part of our team.

    Responsibilities

    · Provide outstanding, empathetic, patient-centric care

    · Take vitals and room patients in a timely fashion

    · Perform rapid screening tests (strep, influenza, mono, glucose, covid, etc.)

    · Ancillary testing and tasks as ordered by the treating Physicians

    · Administer vaccines/injections

    · Perform phlebotomy duties

    · Audiogram and respirator fit testing

    · Set up and assist with wound care

    · All other required testing

    · Dispenses medications and appliances as ordered by the treating Physician

    · Monitor inventory

    · Attend staff meetings as required

    · Maintain and operate all medical devices, equipment, including calibration and record keeping in accordance with current policy and procedures

    · Clean exam rooms and equipment

    · Restocking exam rooms

    · Manage patient flow and volume

    · Answer phone calls

    · Cross trained to perform Front Office duties

    · Be flexible in taking on other duties as assigned by Center Administrator or Physicians

    Minimum Qualifications

    · High school diploma or equivalent

    · Preeminent customer service (people-facing and empathy) skills

    · Well-developed time management and organizational skills, ability to prioritize assignments and work

    · Office computer skills

    · Insurance billing knowledge a plus

    · Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited school

    · Previous Medical Assistant experience, 1 year preferred
