Job Summary
Perform radiographic imaging procedures to assist providers in diagnosing injuries and disease.
Responsibilities
Greet patients and explain procedures to patients in a compassionate manner
Position patients appropriately for diagnostic imaging procedures
Practice ALARA radiation protection techniques
Maintain a neat and clean working environment and ensure all supplies have been ordered and stocked
Process images, review for proper identification and quality control and prepare images for reading by a provider as well as radiologist overreads
Utilize both digital and non-digital diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring compliance with approved radiology techniques and all policies and procedures
Perform routine quality control on all diagnostic equipment and ensure compliance with government and accreditation guidelines
Perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and make minor repairs on equipment, arranging for service inspections and repairs as needed
Willingness to cross-train in other roles as appropriate including medical assisting and reception to support other clinical team members during downtime
Able to perform venipuncture
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited radiology program
Six months to one-year related experience and/or training, preferred but new grads welcomed to apply
ARRT-registered or board eligible preferred.
Maryland Radiologic Technologist License or license eligible
