Summary/Objective
The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain all equipment and facilities owned or leased by Richmond Fitness, Inc., according to safety, predictive, productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.
Essential Functions
Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain all facilities and equipment.
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
Perform regular preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities.
Perform a variety of plumbing, electrical and mechanical functions.
Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
Perform applicable daily operation of a software based maintenance program.
Provide adequate personal vehicle to assist in daily operations.
Friendly and Member service oriented to help with retention and membership sales

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in certain areas of our work environment can be loud.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of work
This is a part time position, working Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7 AM to 3:30 PM or as determined by those the position reports to.
Travel
Considerable travel between facilities, vendors, customers, and other locations may be required. A travel allowance rate is provided by the miles driven during normal working hours. Must provide adequate vehicle for transporting parts; to include pool supplies.
Required Education and Experience
Three years commercial building maintenance to include maintenance and repair of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, building systems, fittings and structure.
Other Duties
Incumbent is required to use aerial work platforms. Training and certification will be provided by Colonial Powerlift after date of hire.
Other duties as reasonably assigned.
