Job Description – Branch Operations Manager
Reports to: Regional Manager of Operations
Key Functions
The Branch Operations Manager will be responsible for, and expected to possibly perform, the following key functions to be carried out in conjunction with their own team and with line management:
General Responsibilities
The Branch Operations Manager will be expected to make a contribution over a range of major issues as part of the Management of the organization, with a sense of direction and energy throughout the function. The above individual will then decide whether to respond or to give their advise by telephone, or if the President of the Company should be requested to have his immediate presence at the scene.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Represents company and client interests.
Oversee daily operations.
Make regular consistent contact with all clients in person, by telephone and e-mail.
Monitor all hours assigned and ensure that the company operates effectively.
Monitor all hours worked, paying attention to the overtime factor.
Examine all expenditures in attempt to prevent overspending.
Coordinate daily assignments for the assistant manager and watch commander.
Review daily issues with assistant manager, watch commander, supervisors and client.
Review all payroll and personnel issues, including Workers’ Comp and disability cases.
Write and distribute regular “Talking Point Orders” which make clear what the company expects.
Prepare Post Orders for all sites and revise as required.
Responsible for personal growth, development and training of assigned personnel.
Provide a program that consistently achieves client and company standards in quality of service, safety and delivery of security services in accordance with the client’s Service Agreements.
Develop overall sales plan, including targeted accounts, dollars potential and objectives for each account in conjunction with the Vice President for Sales and Marketing Department.
Assist Account Manager in maintaining client relations during new account start-ups.
Maintain professional image in accordance with company standards and client expectations.
Medicate all disputes between employees in an effort to preserve harmony and morale.
Prepare weekly reports concerning all activities.
Maintain control of all operations as a way of proceeding profit margins.
Purchase all supplies needed to maintain adequate equipment and uniforms.
Ensure that all files are current and correct.
Make sales contacts in person and by telephone.
Prepare correspondence as necessary.
Develop business and community contacts.
Attend Safety Committee meetings (if necessary)
Respond to emergencies.
Act as a consultant to existing and potential clients.
Administer discipline as necessary.
Develop employee recognition program for outstanding performance.
Coordinate Officer of the Month Program.
Keep the Vice President updated on the status of all accounts.
Implement and maintain a Client Relations Program designed to achieve consistently high levels of client and customer satisfaction. Develop the quick response to client's needs.
Serve as the liaison between the client and the company, interpreting company policies to the client and enforcing the policies of the client.
Select, train, develop, motivate and manage an efficient staff of employees, through adherence to corporate Human Resources, Division Manager, and effective communications.
Interview for Qualifications, Employ, train, and evaluate all security officers with a concern for where they should be assigned.
Work with Vice President of Training on new employee orientation training, monthly training bulletins, and IAHSS certifications.
Coordinate with the Scheduling Coordinator first aid/C.P.R. training and review records to ensure all staff is current on their required certifications.
Provide a service program that consistently achieves client and Division standards in quality of service, safety, and delivery of security services.
Visit sites to meet with Post Commanders and Officers.
Review Supervisor Inspection Reports and meet with Field Supervisors, Post Commander and Client on discrepancies.
Develop a Team approach with Field Supervisors, Post Commanders and Officers, in meeting the needs of our clients.
