  • Responsibilities

    Under the direction of the Environmental Services Manager and Environmental Services Supervisor, the Lead Custodian is assigned to custodial duties, training of assigned staff, quality control and safety. Provides supervision of staff in the absence of the Manager

    EDUCATION:

     

    High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

     

    WORK EXPERIENCE:

     

    One (1) year of custodial experience preferred.

    Keeps all equipment in a clean, safe running condition.

    Trains all assigned employees in proper work habits, cleaning methods and safety procedures.

    Perform random inspections in absence of Manager.

    Assures proper quality and cleanliness of all assignments.

    Reports daily to the Manager on issues relating to the duties assigned.

    Coordinates any additional services as required.

    Performs custodial duties as required. Dry and wet mop hard floors; Vacuums  carpets when assigned; Collects and transports refuse, cleans and relines refuse containers with plastic bags; Cleans sinks, tubs, showers and toilets; Polishes bright work and cleans mirrors; empties trash, sweeps and mops floors with disinfectant cleaner; Replaces all paper and soap supplies; Dusts, cleans and polishes furniture including beds, dressers, and lamps; Cleans top of windows, door frames and other high places; polishes stainless steel and other bright work;  

    Required Skills Required Experience

  • Qualifications

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    EDUCATION: 

    • Graduated from an accredited school of nursing with Advanced Practice Nurse Master’s Degree OR
    • Graduated from an accredited Professional Physician Assistant Program
    • Active Physician Assistant state license or Nurse Practitioner state license 
    • Active DEA license from state of practice if applicable
    • Board Certified (NP must be FNP certified for six (6) months to adult)
    • BLS Certification
    • Medical Examiners Certification for DOT physicals (ME certification may be acquired within the first 30 days of employment)

    ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Must be aware of hazardous situations and be able to provide a leadership role in emergencies as needed.
