    Job Description

    This newly created position is specifically designed to enable the continued expansion of Martin Wheel, a division of Kenda Tire and Wheel. We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced professional for the position of Regional Sales Manager to cover a Midwest/Central States territory. Martin Wheel is a growing manufacturer and importer of tires and wheel assemblies for Lawn and Garden, Agricultural, Industrial, and Trailer applications. Our products are sold to equipment manufacturers as well as through various aftermarket and e-commerce channels.

    This position will require the successful person to be customer-facing with key accounts using honed personal selling skills and building long-term relationships. The position is anchored in owning and achieving the sales plan through gaining an extensive understanding of the customer’s requirements and aligning those needs to build sales revenue.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Strong direct sales experience ideally in the tire industry selling to OEM’s and Distributors
    • Ability to read drawings and provide technical guidance
    • Documented track record exhibiting ability to organize and maintain efficiency while calling on a large geography
    • History of year-over-year territory growth exceeding plan
    • Creative, self-starter with a professional commitment to excellence
    • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or related field
    • Develop and monitor item-specific demand at the customer level through forecasting
    • Evaluate, identify, recommend and work with the Martin Wheel operations and engineering in developing new products to serve the market
    • Ability to travel 30-40% to customer locations and tradeshows
    • Expected to quickly develop knowledge of the company’s products, market applications, and competition
    • Computer proficiency with MS Office Applications including SalesForce CRM
    • Excellent oral and written communication abilities

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Create and implement a sales plan for targeting and growing respective territory
    • Prepare and track the progress of monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales forecast
    • Visit key accounts to strengthen the relationship and to identify new opportunities for growth
    • Ability to clearly document and communicate customer needs to internal resources within Martin Wheel
    • Identify new customers, products, and business opportunities in the marketplace
    • Effectively communicate with the inside customer service team to meet customer needs
    • Analyze and forecast business trends for anticipated growth

     

    Compensation includes a competitive base salary with a sales bonus.
