POSITION SUMMARY
Nurse Practitioner is an intuitive healthcare professional whose diagnostic abilities are only matched by their concern for their patients. They are responsible for meeting, assessing and diagnosing patients in our clinic and providing them with healthcare services that meet state and national standards for caregiving. They will be responsible for prescribing patients with appropriate medication, health regimens and lifestyle adjustments that will contribute to their recovery from diagnosed health issues, prevent future health issues and/or promote a healthier life.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties of the Nurse Practitioner include, but are not limited to:
Functions independently to perform age-appropriate history and physical for complex acute, critical, and chronically ill perioperative patients.
Perform routine examinations of patients
Understand patients' health conditions based on symptoms and tests
Suggest treatments based on findings
Give appropriate health advice
Set diagnosis based on medical expertise and knowledge
Access patient's medical history
Examine, analyze and interpret lab tests results
Prescribe different medical treatments, medications and drugs
Collaborate with other physicians and team members
Keep records of patients’ progress and history
Adhere to laws, rules and regulations
Refer patients to specialists if necessary
Develop safe and trusting relationships with patients
Stay up to date with latest research, technologies and best practices
JOB REQUIREMENT
Minimum 2 years experience working as a Nurse Practitioner required
Certified Nurse Practitioner degree
Valid license to practice
In-depth knowledge of medication drugs and related side effects and contraindications
Excellent Patient management skills
Attention to detail and be able to work under pressure
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Travel required to all sites as per schedule and need
WORKING CONDITIONS
Primarily in a medical office
Position is moderately active and requires standing and walking for the duration of the shift
Regularly required to talk and hear
Ability to see distinctions in colors and shapes is also required
Spend extended hours in front of a computer screen
Periodic weekend or evening work is expected
