SUMMARY

Troubleshoot and repair PLC-based electrical control system. Electrical and Electronic troubleshooting of CNC turning, drilling, and grinding machines. Monitor modifies and writes PLC program. Plan layout and wire electrical control panel and install on industrial machinery. Good understanding of the mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Troubleshoot automated production machinery, identify root cause for trouble and repair as necessary.
• Diagnose and replace faulty electrical and electronic components of machine such as relays, switches, motors, positions sensing devices, printed circuit boards and PLCs.
• Connect electric power to machines and equipment, and control wires between machines and monitor equipment.
• Plan layout of wiring and install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings. Maintain interior and exterior lighting systems.
• Work with mechanics and lead persons to diagnose faulty machinery.
• Able to make a simple control system using PLC (i.e Panel layout, wiring, and testing).
• Able to read and make electrical schematic drawings.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate degree or equivalent experience and High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Electronic device application software.
• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit.
• The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
