    REPORTS TO: President of ANLC

    LOCATION: Main Bank

     

    GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

    The Leasing Officer (LO) primary responsibility will be to acquire through marketing and prospecting new leasing clients and lease assets. The LO will be capable of calculating lease payments, acquiring the asset, preparing the appropriate contract and documentation. Also, the LO will have a full working knowledge of all guide books and industry reference material for determining reasonable residuals to minimize the chance of loss at the time of lease asset disposal.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    1.       The LO will be responsible for maximizing the profitability of his/her portfolio by means of negotiating with the lessee, seeking the highest values for trade-ins and the lowest price for lease assets from the vendors. This duty is performed daily, about 20% of the time.

     

    2.       The LO will be responsible for all contracting and documentation of those leases related to his/her portfolio and will be knowledgeable of all compliance issues & ANLC policies. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time.

     

    3.       The LO will review on a daily basis all delinquencies related to his/her portfolio. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time.

     

    4.       The LO will have the primary responsibility to prepare for disposal of lease asset after termination. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time.

     

    5.       Prospects for new business and to retain current customers may require travel to meet with them and present lease options. This duty is performed daily, about 65% of the time.

     

    Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

     

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    Four year college degree, or equivalent experience resulting in broad knowledge of a field related to the job, such as accounting, marketing, business administration, agriculture etc., plus 2 years related experience and/or training, and 2 years related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

     

    RESPONSIBILITY FOR FUNDS, PROPERTY AND EQUIPMENT

    LO will be assigned use of a company laptop, phone, and also have day use of a company vehicle to make sales calls.

     

     

    COMMUNICATION SKILLS

    Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization. Ability to read, analyze, and understand general business/company related articles and professional journals; Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

     

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, and ratios to practical situations.

     

    CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of known variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formats.
