  • Responsibilities

    JOB SUMMARY: Under broad supervision, installs, configures, and supports the GDOT Microsoft-based infrastructure and associated computers, desktops and/or mobile devices. Performs necessary maintenance to support infrastructure security and availability.

     

    JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES: Under limited supervision, as project leader assumes responsibility for most complex projects. Directs project team in the software/hardware support to an enterprise level multi-server environment. Generates, implements, maintains and monitors one or more of the following: operating systems (such as: Windows 2012/2016), virtualization platforms (Hyper-V 2012/2016), and associated Microsoft-based core services (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, WINS, Certificate Services, IIS, etc.). Assists with enterprise application deployments (as related to the Microsoft core infrastructure) and assists with installation, maintenance and support of enterprise products (Exchange 2010, Systems Center, SharePoint 2013, etc.) as needed to maximize system availability. Provides infrastructure-related technical assistance to peer groups (Network administrators, SAN administrators, application administrator) to assist in troubleshooting infrastructure or application issues.

     

    Candidates must have 5+ years of experience designing, implementing, maintaining and troubleshooting Microsoft Server operating systems and services (Hyper-V, Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, WINS, IIS, Certificate Services, etc.).  Prefer candidates that also have administration experience designing, implementing, maintaining and troubleshooting current versions of Microsoft Enterprise products (Exchange, Systems Center, SQL, SharePoint, etc.) or third-party enterprise products (Citrix, Veeam, Symantec Endpoint Protection, etc.).  Candidates must be able to learn about unfamiliar topics quickly and make recommendations to management and/or business units. Candidates must be self-motivated and be project/goal-oriented.

    • Must have a good understanding of graphic applications, image/media files, web media/interactive marketing, etc.
    • Must have knowledge of new media marketing techniques including social, online marketing, mobile
    • Must have working knowledge of top social media management platforms
    • Must be data savvy to include general knowledge of computers and computer software applications with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (including spreadsheets, word processing and presentation software)
    • Must have hands on design skills with creating both offline and online materials and copy writing skills
    • Must demonstrate accuracy, clarity, consistency and analytical skills
    • Must have strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and produce results quickly and efficiently
    • Must be able to handle multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines
    • Must have strong interpersonal skills and experience working within cross-functional teams
    • Must be familiar with traditional marketing techniques such as direct mail, print collateral
    • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Must have excellent in grammatical, proofreading and editing abilities
    • Must be comfortable using and learning a variety of technological tools
    • Must be self-motivated and comfortable working in an autonomous environment
    • Must have a high level of initiative and ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion
    • Familiarity with marketing communication practices
    • Experience with public speaking and presenting
    • Experience with blog and website platforms
    • Working knowledge of email sending platforms
    • Excellent copy writing skills
    • Some graphic design experience
    • Knowledge of design programs (Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.)
