RESPONSIBILITIES/ QUALIFICATIONS
- Build eCommerce applications, maintaining existing PHP code, optimizing MySQL queries, developing custom PHP solutions, and actively assist in improving the usability, usefulness, and functionality of highly customized consumer and business-to-business Magento systems.
- Collaborate with a team of passionate professionals in various disciplines (System administration, creative, marketing, sales) to deliver exceptional outcomes
- PHP, JavaScript, MySQL, HTML, MAMP development/coding, JavaScript Frameworks (JQuery, AngularJS, react.js), version control system (SVN, GIT, or Mercurial)
- Gather and understand client requirements
- Unit test and take accountability for the quality of your work
- Estimate effort required to implement changes and enhancements
- Integrate and support Magento platforms with external systems, such as CMS, PIM, CRM, ERP, payment, shipping, etc.
- Must possess strong database architecture and implementation skills with experience in efficient MySQL usage
- Review code for potential performance issues, security, reusability, and/or anomalies.
- Research and identify cause of reported defects and issues.
- Research and develop patches and defect fixes.
- Author technical design documentation that fully defines all application code and the underlying methodology for the design decisions made.
- Participate in training and customer support as needed.
SKILLS
- 3+ year’s experience developing with Magento1 and Magento2 platform/software.
- 3+ year’s experience w/ PHP
- Strong knowledge and experience working with various web development platforms and languages including but not limited to; MySQL, Linux, Lamp Stack, and Apache
- Experience implementing jQuery and Javascript framework.
- Familiarity with Adobe Suite software
- Experience working in a collaborative team environment and working directly with the marketing department which includes the webmaster, web team, and designers, along with other departments on implementation of designs.
- Demonstrated understanding of object concepts.
- Experience optimizing and refactoring application code
- Optimized web server configurations and have experience scaling web applications
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Passionate self-starter who can be visionary, detailed-oriented and an enthusiastic team player.
- Experience writing SOQL and SOSL queries
- Development skills in Java, SQL, and HTML
- Collaboration, prioritization, and adaptability skills required
- Solid communication and troubleshooting skills
- Project Management & ERP implementation experience. Familiar with JD Edwards preferred but not required.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree computer science is preferred
- Candidate must have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in software development role
- Strong project management skills
- Strong leadership qualities
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint)
- Knowledge with Adobe Creative Suite preferred, but not required
- Strong verbal/written communication skills, proofreading, copy editing, presentation and organizational skills essential to the success of the position
- Capable of working in a collaborative environment and with a variety of teams
- Social media and ecommerce platform experience preferred
- Must have sports industry knowledge
- Possess positive, outgoing and can-do attitude
