    The Front-End Web Designer is responsible for developing ASTA’s framework for its websites (ASTA.org, various event sites, etc.) using iMIS RiSE in the iMIS Engagement Management System (EMS), as well as coordinating and designing all aspects of the website, providing direction and support for all ASTA departments on issues and requests pertaining to its websites, all while enhancing and optimizing the websites. Included in this portfolio of responsibilities is determining the structure and optimization of web page design. In the immediate term, the manager will review and take the lead on the development of the Sitefinity platform, ASTA’s website CMS platform, and other platforms in use. Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, in addition to developing and designing the structure of the websites, this individual is responsible for timely website updates and fixes, ensuring technical efficiencies, SEO, and analytics configuration. Responsibilities: • Collaborating with stakeholders across the ASTA organization to assess and discuss the needs, design, and functionality of its websites and/or relevant interfaces • Determining the structure and design of web pages • Ensuring user experience determines design choices • Develop features to enhance the user experience • Striking a balance between functional and aesthetic design • Ensuring web design is dynamic and optimized for both mobile and web • Building reusable code for future use • Optimizing web pages for maximum speed and scalability • Maintaining brand consistency throughout the design • Integrating multimedia, including audio and video, into the website • Monitoring website traffic and delivering reports on website traffic metrics • Providing website maintenance and enhancements • Writing functional requirements documents and specifications • Consistently checking, debugging, and improving current sites and systems • Leads the provision of website maintenance, fixes, and enhancements in a hands-on manner • Ensuring all work is quality controlled for accuracy and correctness Qualifications: Experience And Skills: • Degree in Computer Science or related field • Experience with the Sitefinity CMS platform, iMIS RiSE in EMS and/or event platforms is strongly recommended • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience working with a NET-based CMS (e.g., Sitefinity, Sitecore, iMIS RiSE) • 3+ years of programming experience (C#, ASP.NET, SOA/Web Services, XML, and XSL) is a plus • Thorough understanding of key design principles, including a keen eye toward design, aesthetics, and attention to detail • Working knowledge of API calls and how to integrate with other platforms • Expertise with HTML(5), CSS(3), Javascript, JQuery and responsive design (Bootstrap) • Experience with graphic design applications such as Adobe Illustrator preferred • Experience with and a strong understanding of SEO principles and Google Analytics/GA4 • Excellent problem-solving ability • Experience within a trade association’s IT systems Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000
