Job Description
Successful candidate will establish, develop, and manage suppliers in China, Pakistan, India and other areas. Must be an extremely responsible person with an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Speaks Chinese and English- Preferred
- Salary range - $60,000 to $100,000 annual
- Travel to China and other countries for vendor relationship development required (50-75% travel).
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- 5 – 10 years of supplier development and supplier management experience
- Distribution company experience
- Experience with hospitality products
JOB FUNCTIONS:
For Sales and Marketing Department – 80% of effort
- Develop sources for new products
- Negotiate price and delivery
- Define capacity growth potential
- Drive supplier cost control
- Certify new suppliers
For Procurement Department – 20% of effort
- Visit existing suppliers as required
- Monitor order status
- Expedite orders
- Reduce lead times
- Reduce shipping costs
- Follow-up on Quality Control issues
