    Job Description

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Assists in the development and updating of visual aids for classroom and manufacturing floor use.
    • Assists in the development and revision of Job Instruction Breakdowns (JIB's) as needed.
    • Facilitates technical training for new and existing employees.
    • Records and maintains training results and reports.
    • Participates with Human Resources and Training in determining the employee has been sufficiently trained and provide documentation of such per training guidelines.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

    QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.

    GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • MOST IMPORTANT: Must possess the ability and patience to deliver skills, knowledge and desire to the person(s) being trained.
    • Must be certified as a Peer Trainer (CPT)
    • Must have proficiency with Excel, Word & Power Point. Knowledge in Photoshop or Printshop Pro is desired.
    • Must possess the ability to learn all jobs related to specific division including but not limited to components, tape measure, label matrix, option codes and nomenclature.
    • Must be self motivated.
    • Must be willing to work flexible hours when warranted to satisfy the training needs of the plant.
    • Must be willing to work in the jobs for which you are certified to teach to stay current on your understand of that job.

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

    • A high school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED) is required.
    • A minimum of 2 years of manufacturing or assembly experience is required.
    • Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Experience teaching or training others or experience facilitating discussion is desirable.
