Our goals are parallel with the recovery and resiliency model Georgia desires. AmericanWork, Inc. is a subsidiary of Pathways.Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the LCSW:

    Conducts and documents initial and on-going assessment of consumer’s strengths, bio psychosocial histories, substance abuse and mental health treatment needs.

    Under supervision and with consultation of Clinical Director, provides crisis assessment and intervention.

    Ensures appropriate safety plan is established

    Facilitates referral to inpatient hospitalization as clinically indicated.

    Through the use of acceptable therapeutic interventions and techniques, assists consumers in establishing and reaching treatment goals.

    Documents and reports service delivery and consumer progress on an ongoing basis on progress notes, treatment plan reviews and thorough discharge summaries.

    Abides by laws, regulations and standards of practice regarding Confidentiality and Ethics for the provision of treatment under the scope of license and certification.

    Follow all regulations set forth by AmericanWork, Inc., policy and procedure.

    Job Qualifications:

    Must possess a Master’s degree in social work, psychology or related field

    Must be licensed as by the Georgia Composite Board of Professional Counselors, Social Workers and Marriage and Family Therapists

    Must be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing,

    Have an understanding of and sensitivity to serving the culturally diverse and special needs population and possess knowledge of the populations served in the services provided.

    Must possess a valid Georgia Driver’s License;

    Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Records (MVR);

    Must have a clean Criminal Back Ground Check (no convictions or shown credible evidence of perpetrating abuse, neglect or sexual exploitation – child or adult)

    Core Competencies Required:

    Demonstrate the ability to provide therapeutic interventions within the scope of your license and certification for consumers and mental health, substance abuse and co-occurring disorders according to their assessed need and ISP.

    Demonstrate ability to document progress or lack of progress by way of progress notes in a timely manner upon service delivery

    Demonstrate knowledge of interacting with other agencies that provide collaborative services. Is sensitive to community issues and concerns regarding MH, SA and co-occurring disorders.

    Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

    Demonstrate working knowledge and compliance with policy and procedure of agency, APS, DHR, ORS, CARF, Federal & State Laws/ regulations.

    Demonstrate ability to develop treatment plans with the consumer and family if applicable that are specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and meet consumers’ identified treatment needs.

    Demonstrate ability to assess and communicate consumers’ mental health and substance abuse treatment needs to other staff/agencies to ensure continuity of care.

    Demonstrate the ability to assess risk of consumer to self and others and develop and implement hospitalization or other safety plan within the scope of license to practice.

    Demonstrate ability to adhere to confidentiality rules

    Demonstrate ability to ensure that all trainings are up to date.

    Demonstrate ability to perform accurate and timely assessments utilizing knowledge of program and of special criteria.

    Demonstrate ability to educate consumers regarding their diagnosis and medications.
