    General Summary

    We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Assistant for our San Diego area locations to support our Human Resources department. In this position, you will create new employee packets, manage employee records, organize and update files, prepare reports, handle benefits, assign/track training and process payroll. On a daily basis, you will answer phone calls, handle scheduling, ensure the office calendar is current, and perform other administrative tasks as needed. Our ideal candidate has at least one year of experience in human resources, but we are willing to train the right person. Essential Job Functions

    • Organize, compile, update company personnel records and documentation
    • Assist with recruitment of potential applicants, conduct first round interviews
    • Update online job posting requirements when needed
    • Coordinate HR projects such as meetings or surveys
    • Help organize and manage new employee orientation, on-boarding, and training programs
    • Assist in explaining and providing information on employee benefits, programs, and education
    • Process payroll
    • Assign and tracking training
    • Respond to EDD
    • Complete VOEs
    • Maintain/Update OSHA 300 Log
    • Monitor LOAs (FMLA/PDL)

    Minimum Job Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field a plus
    • 1+ years in human resources preferred
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office
    • Familiarity with Google Drive
    • Knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) a plus
    • General knowledge of employment laws and best practices
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills

    • Must be at least 21 years of age
    • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus

    • Continually sit, stand, walk as needed
    • Ability to safely lift boxes up to 40lbs on occasion
    • Ability to work at a computer station for extended periods of time, 6-8 hrs/day
