    Job Description

    OVERVIEW:

    Our client, provides access to one of the largest sources of contract clinicians, seeks an accomplished STORAGE ENGINEER.

    *** CANDIDATE MUST BE AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN USA WITHOUT REQUIRING SPONSORSHIP ***


    *** LOCATION: LA JOLLA, CA 92037 (100% REMOTE ACCEPTABLE)

    *** DURATION: 3 – 4 MONTHS W/ POSSIBILITY OF EXTENSION

    DESCRIPTION:

    · Seeking a talented Storage Engineer with an exceptional commitment to service excellence to join its team.

    · Collaborating with diverse and talented team members to help solve multidimensional IT problems, improve customer experience, and generate value for stakeholders across a broad base of departments and constituencies.

    · Provides system analysis, maintenance, and monitoring of storage and backup systems including installations, upgrades, patches, as well as documentation with primary responsibility for the implementation, management, support and maintenance of various storage and backup system software products and hardware components that comprise enterprise computing infrastructure.

    · Manages and supports the systems/hardware infrastructure and associated resources.

    · Provides 7/24 problem management support and resolution for all storage and backup applications and systems as part of the on-call rotation.

    · Incumbents provide consultation and knowledge transfer with respect to system design, administration techniques, and software components.

    · Assist with managing, maintaining, monitoring and securing (including data security) of all Health System storage.

    · The Storage Engineer acts as a tier 3 support specialist for other teams in the organization and collaborates with other Health System and Campus based teams as needed.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    · Incumbent will have in depth knowledge of storage and backup design, implementation, and management.

    · The incumbent will have a solid background in technical writing and documentation.

    · Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in information services with specific experience in the following: NetApp storage administration, CommVault backup administration, Brocade fiber channel switch administration, File and block level storage administration, Storage level data protection / data replication.

    PREFERRED:

    · Pure storage administration, Rubrik backup administration, IBM storage administration, Veeam backup administration, Druva backup administration, IBM Power/HMC/AIX administration.

    · Bachelor degree in computer science or similar.
