    Job Description

    Our client is a leading Law firm with over 180 attorneys in nine offices throughout California, seeks an accomplished STAFF ACCOUNTANT.

     

     

    JOB OVERVIEW

    POSITION: STAFF ACCOUNTANT (JOB ID: RGPXX042921SACC)

    LOCATION: CERRITOS, CA 90703

    DURATION: DIRECT HIRE | 40HR/WEEK | M-F

    SALARY: $60K TO 65K

     

    OVERALL PURPOSE:

    To assist the Director of Finance, Firm Administrator and Partners in financial management and reporting.

     

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Compile and consolidate all departments’ budgets to create the annual Firm budget the preparation of budgets for selected expenses, including compensation.
    • Preparation of Firm’s monthly financial statements and journal entries.
    • Preparation of special financial reports, including PowerPoint presentations for Partner and other management meetings held throughout the year.
    • Provide CPA with information to prepare corporate tax return.

    Other Duties:

    • Preparation of lease schedule.
    • General Ledger account analysis.
    • Property Tax Returns.
    • Filing of annual 1099 reports.
    • Payment calculation of contract attorney fee splits.
    • Quarterly Bank compliance letter.
    • Prepare Monthly IT expense schedule.
    • Pension and Profit-Sharing Plans - annual audit, filing of returns , minimal day to day Prepare Partner expense deductions PNB.
    • Prepare Daily Cash Status report.
    • Prepare Ad Hoc analysis.
    • Research and maintain stale dated checks.
    • Escheat unclaimed funds as necessary.

     

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • 3-5 years of experience required without a bachelor’s degree.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, preferred.
    • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel (spreadsheet/database creation skills).
    • Knowledge of Accounting policies (GAAP).
    • Ability to perform and understand mathematical and accounting computations accurately.
    • Ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task a variety of assignments in a fast-pace environment with minimal supervision.
    • Superior follow up abilities to ensure issues are resolved in a timely fashion.
    • Ability to work 8 hours in a day or 40 hours in a week, and some overtime when.
