We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic application Field Application Engineer to work in the California Market, with the desire to working with and building lasting relationships with our long-term customers, many of which are in the Fortune 100 size and importance.
Purpose The successful candidate has a proven background and experience as a Field Project Engineer, in project based engineering including , field engineering commissioning of technical products both hardware and software, project tracking and execution skills in our key vertical markets. Our applications are designed around a layered, multi-technology approach comprised of industrial grade products including IP cameras, video analytics, radar (both ground and drone), speakers, video management systems, networking and power. The position requires both travel, working mostly along with remote home office and field work, including but not limited to; climbing and use of ladders, working in confined spaces, and safety familiarity working within active construction areas. Candidate should be competent in networking - we will train as needed for video and radar.
Responsibilities
Engineering support of project lifecycle, from design thru project closure
Assist with on-site management to ensure project success
Ensure project plan is moving forward to meet anticipated deadlines
Engineering support of project lifecycle, from design thru project closure well defined and resourced properly
Drive projects to completion through hand-on approach
Design, implementation and support and commissioning of projects that include:
L3 and L2 networking
Video Management System
Video Cameras and Display Wall support
Ground Based and Drone Detection Radar systems
Cultivate strong working relationships, both internal and external
On-site contractor and customer training as needed
Innovating solutions and quickly resolving issues
Requirements
Remote position (Sacramento or Northern California) 40%Travel North California
Requirements BSEE/CSE or equivalent
Project Engineer Field engineering experience - overnight travel averages up to 30% - 40% of time Cisco networking experience, L2, with L3 a plus
CCNA Cisco Certification or higher, a plus
Good written and verbal skills Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines Able to work successfully independently in the field, supporting in a team-based environment and independently Experience working with Contractors, Integrators and/or End Users
Self-motivated with the skill and discipline necessary to to work to meet deadlines
