  • Responsibilities

    What you'll do

    • Work directly with and report to the CEO to coordinate essential operations activities and ensure successful day to day business
    • Correspond with legal, accounting, insurance, and other vendors, dealing directly with easily answered questions when possible
    • Manage scheduling and travel for a small team
    • Process expenses, purchasing, and billing as needed
    • Process payroll and manage HR paperwork as needed
    • Organize digital documentation, take notes in meetings, and manage online accounts

    Who you are

    • You are organized, efficient, and reliable
    • You have an incredible attention to detail and timeliness
    • You have expert knowledge of common office software, including G-Suite (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Mail) and Microsoft (Word and Excel)
    • You are a quick learner who is comfortable picking up new software from time to time
    • You have excellent command of the English language and are comfortable communicating both verbally and in writing

    Bonus points if

    • Your previous work experience includes startups
    • You have a background in finance, business, accounting, or writing
    • You are located in or near Chicago
    • You are familiar with productivity tools like Slack, ClickUp, Airtable, and/or Notion
    • You are interested in growing into a full-time role and assuming more responsibility

    Other information

    • 10-15 hours per week
    • Schedule is flexible within business hours
