************** PLANNER (CPG OR NUTRACEUTICAL BACKGROUND) **************

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Prefer APICS (American Production & Inventory Control Society) certification in CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory management)
• Direct contact with departments.
• Request supporting documents from departments as required for Planning.
• Maintain and update Planning records.
• Work with Project Management to meet project requirements.
• Work with Procurement to ensure good communication with raw material and packaging component availability as required to meet customer needs.
• Updating/Releasing Production Batches o Release production batches as needed and as materials and components are available.
• Requires running CMI, Lots in QA Report, and interaction with Production, QA Receiving and other departments as necessary to expedite releasing of production batches to manufacturing.
• Cross trained on CMI for raw materials and packaging components.
• Assigned other tasks as required.
• Assist in planning for manufacturing and packaging batches based on data received from Sales & Marketing as well as historical data.
• Coordinate production workflow with Manufacturing and Packaging department heads
• Create both manufacturing and packaging batches as needed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Track all manufacturing batches through procurement, manufacturing, and QA.

Follow up daily to identify the following:

• Raw material shortages
• Raw material release delays
• Failed raw materials
• C of A delays
• Manufacturing issues
• Packaging component issues
• Track all packaging batches from time of release to final transfer to Logistics facility.
• Determine the optimal quantity and timing of releasing packaging batches to production based on current inventory and capacity.
• Follow up with Procurement, Manufacturing, and Packaging managers/supervisors on work flow and schedules.
• Follow up with QA on manufacturing batches for release.

Release packaging batches based on the following:

• Available Bulk
• Current demand based on Min/Max report
• Expiration date from C of A
• Available components
• Volumes of other SKU’s utilizing material
• Packaging capacity

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Five years minimum planning or related experience.
• Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves problems, uses information skillfully and can develop alternative solutes independently.
• Works well in group problem solving issues.
