SUMMARY

Coordinates test strategies and develops test solutions for customers. Test solutions may be in-circuit test (ICT), functional test (FCT), environment stress screening systems (ESS) or support systems for these developments.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Focuses on test generation and documentation, for product test solutions using standard test platforms or wholly custom test developments, to provide manufacturing solutions that meet both the customers’ requirements and the manufacturing support groups’ requirements
• Develops proficiency on at least one platform
• Performs evaluation of quality measurements on a tester/fixture development in accordance with a validation plan
• Creates documentation related to a tester/fixture design project
• Contacts and works with test component vendors
• Follows project plan and report project status to leadership
• Assists in project proposals and associated cost estimates
• Understands and contributes, as able, to test strategy development discussions on customer team(s)
• Works with internal manufacturing support groups to understand the requirements of the production environment
• Assists with design for testability reviews; Create necessary documentation
• Works with Sustaining Test Engineering to effectively transition test solutions to production
• Learns and begins to work with advanced technologies (Boundary Scan, ISP, embedded test, etc.) as needed and under specific direction
• Develops an understanding of Design for Testability philosophy and promote with customers
• Communicates with customer technical personnel regarding basic test issues
• Communicates technical challenges and works with peers to implement solutions
• Participates in test strategy development discussions on customer team(s)
• Develops day-to-day project activity organization in accordance with test development procedures, including financial planning and review of financials as part of a project post-mortem
• Participates in continuous improvement activities with complete documentation, including a follow up review with the team in a presentation format
• Performs design for testability reviews; Create necessary documentation
• Develops an understanding of test strategy planning and promotes with customers
• Focuses on test generation and documentation at an intermediate level, for product test solutions using standard test platforms or wholly custom test developments, to provide manufacturing solutions that meet both the customers’ requirements and internal manufacturing support groups’ requirements
• Works with Project Managers in all relevant aspects of test development to ensure design solutions are completed on schedule, on budget and meet the design intent
• Communicates with customer regarding technical test issues
• Works with internal manufacturing support groups to understand the requirements of the production environment and to effectively transition test solutions to production
• ·Participates in development of advanced test technologies
• Provides research and development for new methods of testing and utilizing automated test equipment
• Maintains proficiency on at least one platform
• Focuses on test generation and documentation, for product test solutions using standard test platforms or wholly custom test developments, to provide manufacturing solutions that meet both the customers’ requirements and manufacturing support groups’ requirements
• Develops project proposals and associated cost estimates
• Provides assistance to Project Manager regarding project planning
• Provides project level leadership and organization, as required, for multiple concurrent projects
• Develops an understanding of Design for Testability and Test Strategy development and promote with customers
• Drives initial customer discussions regarding test strategies and methods; Proposes best test strategy and present strategy to customer, including early involvement during new customer engagements
• Performs design for testability reviews; Creates necessary documentation
• Communicates technical challenges and implements solutions
• Works with customers to understand customer test requirements regarding a product design
• Develops and deploys processes and systems within the workgroup
• Provides technical support to team members and on complex projects
• Leads or participates in continuous improvement activities with complete documentation, including a follow up review with the team in a presentation format

QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s Degree Preferred.
• 4 year Engineering or Technical degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by senior management
• 8+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing, developing electronic hardware and software;
• 1+ years in a leadership role
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
