    Job Description

    The Analyst, AI Strategy & Innovation will play a key role in identifying, communicating and executing on projects to drive NBCUniversal’s AI & Enterprise Innovation agenda. Projects may include market, vendor or competitor analyses, evaluating investment opportunities, financial modelling, desk research, and drafting executive presentations or briefings. This role will report to the AI Strategy & Innovation team and will work cross-functionally across NBCUniversal’s business units including technology, film, television, news, streaming and experiences.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conducts research and analysis related to emerging technologies, competitors and partners
    • Assists in the development of long-range strategic and financial plans relating to AI and emerging technologies
    • Meets with emerging technology vendors, researchers or industry bodies and evaluates strengths, weaknesses and potential NBCUniversal opportunities
    • Develops strong relationships to connect internal communities with external partners
    • Supports the development of internal innovation programs such as seminars, newsletters and hackathons
    • Prepares briefing notes, whitepapers, market maps and other documents to synthesize complex emerging technology landscapes into digestible, executive-friendly formats
    • Prepares business plans (including strategic rationale, financial analysis, risk & mitigation analysis) to support internal and external emerging technology investment opportunities
    • Works with strategy, technology and other org-wide teams to bring ideas to life through experimentation
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Basic Requirements:

    • BA/BS degree and 2+ years professional experience in management consulting, banking, or in an equivalent analytical role (e.g. corporate strategy or innovation teams)
    • Prior experience in, or strong passion for, the entertainment industry
    • Strong technical foundation and experience working with, or awareness of, technology vendors and/or corporate technology teams
    • Solid experience in developing models in Microsoft Excel; a sound understanding of finance concepts and financial modelling is preferred
    • Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to frame and communicate complex concepts and analyses in Microsoft PowerPoint, verbally, or in the form of briefing notes
    • High degree of professionalism and the ability to interact with senior management and external partners
    • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines
    • Experience working effectively both independently as well as part of a team

    Desired Characteristics:

    • Experience working with innovation initiatives such as hackathons or pilot programs
    • Capable LLM user and AI enthusiast

    Additional Requirements:

    • Hybrid : This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
