    The Analyst / Associate, Business Strategy and Risk role reports to the Head of Business Strategy and Risk (BSR) for CFIBC, Americas. CFIBC is a division of Global Banking comprising Capital Financing and Investment Banking Coverage. The CCO/COO (Chief Commercial Office/ Chief Operating Office) structure for the Americas has the responsibility over key pillars to ensure the support of the successful day to day running of the business.

    Here’s what you can expect:

    As the Analyst / Associate, Business Strategy and Risk you will be assigned responsibility to cover specific product verticals within CFIBC and will partner with the global product business management teams/leads and regional/global product risk teams. You will work with global, regional and country colleagues to build a collaborative culture that drives continuous improvement and business innovation, constructively challenging outdated and inefficient practice.

    For this role, HSBC targets a fixed pay range between $96,100 and $144,100.

    The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

    Requirements

    Employment eligibility to work with HSBC in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.

    • Knowledge of Capital Markets preferred or previous business management experience

    • Very strong analytical and presentation skills, with excellent grasp of PowerPoint / excel / word and ability to distil large quantities of information into key themes / issues. Follow up on recurring themes from the MI and identify solutions, which are followed through to conclusion

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with capacity to work with senior teams and ability to interact at all levels of the organization. Excellent English language capabilities both written and oral

    • Be able to work effectively under pressure and with multiple stakeholders and willingness to go the ‘extra-mile’

    • Ability to work independently, multi-task, filter information and prioritize multiple demands.
