    Associate Analyst – Portfolio Management, Structured Finance

    Banking/Financial Services – Montgomery County, MD (Hybrid, 3 days a week)

    Our client, a rapidly growing specialty finance lender platform, is hiring for an Analyst or Associate to join their Portfolio Management team within their Structured Finance division.

    This high-impact position will focus on monitoring borrower performance, managing credit risk, and supporting a portfolio of complex lending relationships across multiple verticals. The ideal candidate will bring strong financial acumen, excellent Excel skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

    Responsibilities:

    • Monitor borrower performance and loan health, proactively identifying and escalating credit risks
    • Act as a primary point of contact for borrower relationships, managing ongoing compliance and operational needs
    • Analyze borrowing base reports and support revolver and term loan draw processes
    • Generate portfolio management reports and internal memos for senior leadership
    • Track financial trends and covenant compliance; assign risk ratings under supervision
    • Maintain timely and accurate borrower data and documentation
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on special projects tied to portfolio oversight and credit strategy

     

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field required
    • 1–4 years of experience in credit risk, commercial banking, portfolio management, or financial analysis
    • Strong Excel and analytical modeling skills; attention to detail is a must
    • Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with senior stakeholders
    • Self-motivated and capable of operating with autonomy in a lean team environment
    • Interest in long-term growth into underwriting or structured finance roles
    • Prior exposure to lender finance, or similar markets is a plus
  • Compensation
    $80,000-$105,000 per year
