    Job Description

    The Privacy Analyst position is part of the Legal Privacy team that reviews and provides guidance based on business requests for the collection and use of personal data in compliance with global privacy regulations In this position you will support the development and maintenance of Versant’s Legal Privacy program to ensure compliance with global privacy regulations, mitigate risk, and build trust with our customers and consumers. You’ll work cross-functionally with business units and contribute to strategic projects that advance our privacy practices and supporting technologies.

    _ Responsibilities_

    • Review technical and operational documentation to understand how personal data is used and shared and assist in the application and documentation of legal requirements associated with the collection, use, sharing, storing and deletion of the data.
    • Help data users understand their obligations and requirements related to personal data.
    • Review and comment on required Privacy Impact Assessments, including supporting business clients in properly completing them and helping map personal data flows.
    • Liaise with all Business verticals across the NBCUniversal portfolio including working with corporate functions such as HR, InfoSec, Marketing, and others.
    • Assist the lawyers with Consent Management Platforms, including reviewing detailed cookie information and other data related to tracking tools.
    • Own primary responsibility for the Privacy mailbox both for consumers and business inquiries.
    • Coordinate training and related resources.
    • Prepare quarterly reports on compliance metrics and help define and improve operational workflows.
    • Support various privacy and security-related projects as assigned.

    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • 4+ years of experience working with privacy and information security-related matters required
    • IAPP Designation (CIPP/CIPM) preferred
    • Practical experience involving operationalizing privacy and security solutions to identified issues and experience with OneTrust and Data Privacy Compliance Tools
    • Technical background with experience in software development or engineering a plus
    • Experience with automating processes
    • Good understanding of privacy frameworks and how privacy operations are relevant to meeting privacy compliance regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, COPPA)
    • Ability to translate complex/technical topics into business language and to articulate points in widely understood terms
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work efficiently in a cross-functional team environment
    • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to assess processes and recommend practical improvements.

    ** Additional Requirements:**

    • Hybrid : This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Subject to change based on Manager discussion or business need.
