About the Company: Located in the Watsonville-Salinas area of Monterey County, we are a pharmaceutical startup that has been licensed by the DEA to produce Schedule I substances in a highly regulated and secure environment. Our focus is the cultivation of federally legal cannabis for drug development and research. Analytical Chemist

The BRC Analytical Chemist is a qualified and experienced laboratory analyst with a thorough understanding of the operations of an analytical laboratory. Must be familiar and have experience with UPLC, LC-MS, and/or GC-MS. Experience in an analytical services laboratory, quality control laboratory, or GMP laboratory setting is highly desired.

Responsibilities:

• Operation and PM of laboratory analytical instruments

• Performs routine analysis using validated methods

• Participates in development, validation, and/or transfer of new analytical methods

• General laboratory operation, ordering and cleanliness

• Conforms to quality system and relevant SOPs

• Adheres to required controlled substance procedures

• Performs other tasks as required

Required Education, Qualification and Skills:

• Minimum Bachelors of Science in Chemistry or related STEM field • Experience (3+ years) with HPLC/UPLC chromatography and/or gas chromatography is required.

• The ability and eagerness to learn new methods and instrumentation is required.

• Willingness and ability to precisely follow SOPs is required.

• Experience in an analytical services laboratory, quality control laboratory, or GMP laboratory setting is highly desired

• Experience with gas chromatography and/or mass spectrometry is desired

• Experience with Empower 3.0 is desired.

• Experience with botanical extraction, purification and/or analysis is desired.

• Must pass a background check
