Job Description

The Analytical Day 1 Chemist supports clinical testing of pharmaceutical products and contributes to maintaining high-quality laboratory operations. Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting clinical testing of pharmaceutical products
• Gathering, documenting, and reviewing analytical data and test results
• Ensuring test results comply with established standards and reporting quality anomalies
• Complying with all applicable regulatory and compliance requirements
• Completing test records and reviewing supporting documentation
• Calibrating instruments or verifying calibration prior to use
• Maintaining laboratory supplies and general lab organization
• Participating in required training activities
• Interacting with outside customers and internal functional teams
• Assisting with method qualification and validation as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field, or equivalent directly related experience
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• Experience with HPLC, LC-MS, and/or UV-Vis spectroscopy strongly preferred
• Position level will be determined based on education and experience

Additional Information

The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, with the hours of 8am- 4:30pm, with overtime as needed. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer, New York, are encouraged to apply.
