Analytics Manager / Senior Analytics Engineer

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Analytics Manager / Senior Analytics Engineer to transform complex healthcare claims data into actionable insights that empower teams to make data-driven decisions and improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in SQL, business intelligence tools such as Google Looker and Power BI, and modern data analytics processes, along with experience working in AWS environments. This role requires technical expertise, analytical thinking, and the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis, Modeling & Insights
- Lead exploratory and statistical analyses of clinical, genetic, and healthcare claims data to identify drivers of patient outcomes and cost efficiency.
- Extract data from primary and secondary sources and develop standardized analytical models.
- Identify trends, patterns, and correlations and present findings in a clear, business-friendly format.
- Define and monitor KPIs to measure business performance and decision effectiveness.
- Build interactive dashboards and recurring reports using tools such as Looker.
- Develop, optimize, and document SQL queries and Databricks workflows to support scalable analytics.
AWS & Data Platforms
- Utilize AWS technologies, including Databricks and Amazon RDS PostgreSQL, to support data engineering and analytics initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with data scientists, architects, analysts, and application developers to deliver high-quality data solutions.
- Work closely with leadership and contribute effectively within an agile development environment.
Problem Solving & Communication
- Troubleshoot data and system issues with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
- Translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Health Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience analyzing healthcare data, including medical and pharmacy claims.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with the Databricks ecosystem, including Data Lake and Spark SQL.
- Experience building dashboards and visualizations using Looker (LookML experience preferred).
- Demonstrated success analyzing large-scale datasets containing millions of records and communicating meaningful business insights.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Excel, with familiarity using Jupyter Notebooks for analysis and documentation.
- Experience validating clinical data quality and testing analytics workflows.
