    Job Description

    POSITION OVERVIEW

    Communicates with Sales Team to create assortments. Sends products to the display companies for sizing. Develops design concepts for the displays. Reviews renderings, planograms, prototypes and Live & Trim files. Creates display graphics and in-store visuals which keep with the current Marketing strategy.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

    ·         Responsible for the development of the gondolas including developing, prototyping, reviewing renderings and planograms.

    ·         Handles set-up up the technical specs for production – works with the retailers and display companies to establish the specs of the project, including materials, sizing, etc.

    ·         Works with an engineer on the technical designs – we work with several display vendors that will actually produce the planograms and engineering files.

    ·         Responsible for the gondola signage, including the design of the signage and any in-store visuals.

    ·         As an ongoing project, the role handles the design, production and distribution of the guides - especially as we start working with more international retailers and distributor.

    ·         Responsible for compiling information that is relevant to store environment and visual requirements.

    ·         Designs, executes, handles layout and manages Global and North America in-store schematics to 3-d design of displays/tester units for all formats.

    ·         Works with outside vendors to develop innovative open-sell gondola merchandising updates.

    o   Ensures all milestone dates are made from concept stages to display delivery.

    o   Ensures timely delivery of graphics to graphic vendor.

    o   Works cross-functionally with retail, marketing, and design on all updates from concept to approval stages.

    o   Manage and Maintain updates and open sell prestige retailers.

    o   Partners with retail marketing/marketing/design for potential secondary location merchandising design – i.e. end caps or promotional tables.

    o   Works collaboratively with internal departments for an ongoing analysis of item productivity to ensure best/most logical product placement on display.

    ·         Negotiates and manages outside vendors as needed.

    ·         Communicates effectively the creative objectives of the projects through partnership with various internal and external departments.

    ·         Liaises with internal and external teams to direct and approve their specific merchandising needs.

    ·         Prepares and executes creative set up for PR events, retailer and sales meetings, including Retailer Sales Conferences, Makeup Shows and Conventions.

    ·         Designs and oversees production of customized merchandising elements and Visual Merchandising Directives utilizing InDesign publishing program using Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. Illustrator is the primary software application used.

    ·         Keeps all parties updated on scheduling, on-counter dates for merchandising tools, and work with key executives to manage issues as they arise.

    ·         This individual may have In-store responsibilities and travel to the various retailers and meetings.

     

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    ·         A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree preferred

    ·         2-7 years of experience working in merchandising with display vendors and retailers

    ·         Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign

    ·         Proven project management skills a must, strong follow through skills

    ·         Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

    ·         PC software knowledge; skilled in using Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Power Point
