    Job Description

    HRIS

    • Support HR Director and other colleagues on the operational and technical aspects of the HRIS system (Sync HR).
    • Serve as system expert and primary point of contact.
      • Identifies system optimization, recommends system enhancements, provides HR systems training and support to staff.
      • Identifies opportunities for efficiency and maximize usage.
      • Assists with the execution of system changes (updates, new configurations) and participates in testing.
      • Stays informed of current system requirements and releases.
      • Performs audits to assist ensure date integrity.
      • Develop reporting and analytics. 
      • Identify system gaps and deficiencies, suggest best practices or process improvements.
      • Processes various payroll transactions.

    BENEFITS

    • Administer the day to day aspects of the retirement plan.
    • Acts as point of contact for brokers for retirement & health and welfare benefits across the organization.
    • Supports implementation or amendments to employee programs, new and existing.
    • Audits billing and executes reporting on the benefit plans.
    • Works with broker to analyze plan utilization and benchmarking data.
    • Maintains awareness of the legal and regulatory environment as it impacts benefit plans.
    • Helps execute on annual enrollment process from assisting in planning. processes, employee communications, and presenting benefits plans to all employees as well as supporting.

    LEAVES OF ABSENCE

    • Responsible for Leave of Absence administration,
    • Tracks, maintains and manages all items related to leave of absence for FMLA, CFRA, ADA, PDL, etc.
    • Acts as point of contact for employees who request leaves of absence,
    • Coordinates the administration of required paperwork and completes all disability related paperwork for employees on leave,
    • Tracks employee contributions for benefit payments,

    WORKER’S COMPENSATION

    • Works closely with the Safety Officer in responding to Worker’s Compensation claims to ensure compliance, communicate with the employees, and managers throughout the entire process.
    • Ensures compliance with FMLA, CFRA, PDL, ADA and Worker’s Compensation laws, rules and regulations.

    OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Coordinates and maintains employee documentation/employee files. 
    • Assists in proposing, drafting and administering human resources policies and procedures as needed.
    • Assists with the annual employee handbook update.

                    

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    Sitting, Typing, Frequent Standing and Walking, Occasional lifting (less than 25lbs).

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • At least 5 years of HR experience, and proven knowledge of HR-related laws and regulations, policies and best practices.
    • Strong experience with HR systems, MS Office software and payroll administration.
    • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
    • Self-motivated, results-driven, detail-oriented.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment, flexible and adaptive attitude to changing business needs.
    • High attention to detail and sense of urgency.
