    Anatolia Tile & Stone is a leading importer and distributor of ceramic and stone tile and is a major supplier to some of the largest distributors throughout the United States and Canada. Based in Toronto, Anatolia Tile & Stone is a privately owned 100% Canadian corporation that is growing rapidly. Currently we are looking for an eager, motivated Senior Financial Analyst to join our team.

    Position Summary

    Dealing directly with senior management and owners, this is an exciting role for an ambitious accounting professional. The position is to cover for a maternity leave, but has great potential to become a permanent role as the company is expanding tremendously.

    The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for all accounting and financial duties related to Anatolia Group and numerous associated companies; managing the financial operations of the holding companies and selected controls of the operating company (Anatolia Tile and Stone); preparing various statutory returns; managing cash flows; and other duties and projects as assigned.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    The senior financial analyst prepares quarterly financial statements for associated companies and consolidated statements for the holding company.

    The incumbent manages the financial operations of the companies (document management, payments, inter-company balances, bank reconciliations, GL accounts reconciliation, VISA reconciliations, statutory reports, T5’s,).

    Maintains direct day-to-day communication with Senior Executives.

    Reviews relevant corporate tax returns.

    Keeps track of reporting deadlines and prepares all statutory filings for all associated companies.

    Responsible for internal controls in the entities (e.g. review of purchases authorizations, adequate backup for customer credits)

    Prepares annual audit schedules and deals with auditors.

    Prepares cash flow analysis as required. Responsible for ensuring companies’ bank account is funded for the upcoming cash withdrawals.

    Coordinate and prepare financial reporting packages on a quarterly and annual basis, including detailed monthly financial variance analysis and reports

    Responsible for maintaining and clearing selected control accounts on a quarterly basis and assisting with required closing entries

    The incumbent is accountable for various projects and other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Bachelors Degree in Accounting with a CA designation

    Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience within a Manufacturing and/or Supply Chain privately owned environment

    Experience preparing full set of financial statements is a must. Experience preparing consolidated statements is an asset.

    Completion of a designated accounting program

    Ability to read and research professional literature and guidelines (ITA, Handbook, US tax rules etc).

    Must possess excellent analytical skills and sound understanding of accounting principles

    Computer Literate – superior Excel, Word, and Outlook skills

    Experience using SAP financial applications

    Experience using Quick Books is an asset

    Experience using Caseware is an asset

    Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports
