    Anatolia Tile & Stone is a leading importer and distributor of ceramic and stone tile and is a major supplier to some of the largest distributors throughout the United States and Canada. Based in Toronto, Anatolia Tile & Stone is a privately owned 100% Canadian corporation that is growing rapidly. Currently we are looking for an eager, motivated WEEKEND SHIFT Warehouse Manager to join our Savannah team.

    HOURS OF WORK: Friday - Sunday, 6:00am - 6:00pm

    POSITION SCOPE:

    The Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day shift operations for all warehousing and distribution activities. The primary functions of this position include but are not limited to, shipping, receiving, inventory control, transportation, health and safety, and supervision of warehouse staff. Additional duties include responsibility and oversight for ensuring appropriate building maintenance and housekeeping and people management duties to ensure every precaution necessary for the protection of workers is achieved.

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    Warehouse Management + Execution

    Responsible for the success and execution of daily shift targets

    Works closely with the Inbound and Outbound Supervisors to maintain the effective flow of materials and liaising with the appropriate personnel and departments to resolve unexpected challenges and find permanent solutions to prevent recurrence.

    Ensuring safe and efficient palletizing, and housekeeping practices are in place and consistently enforced

    Contributes to the overall success of the Warehouse by ensuring specific team goals, plans and initiatives are in executed/delivered in support of the entire Team's business strategy and objectives

    In conjunction with warehouse management, ensures all Warehouse Operations activities have formalized and documented standard operation procedures (SOPs) or work instructions that apply best practices in material handling, quality management, and safety, which are regularly reviewed, updated, communicated and maintained.

    Engages with Operations staff to identify opportunities for process, procedure and product creation and/or improvement to create engagement and generate buy-in from staff.

    Delivers training to staff as required to ensure the consistent and accurate delivery and communication of information and expectations across all shifts

    Conducts regular workplace health & safety and housekeeping inspections in line communicated expectations to ensure a safe, organized and efficient warehouse is achieved and maintained

    Completes Accident/Incident reports as required, reviews the daily material handling vehicle logs to ensure any deficiencies are corrected expediently and satisfactorily, and monitors and manages inventory levels of workplace PPE and supplies required by Operations staff.

    Assists with the monitoring and measuring of departmental key performance indicators, performing insightful analysis into trends and providing recommendations to management for continual improvement

    Champions a customer-focused culture to deepen both client and inter-departmental relationships

    Plays a key role in identifying and managing change initiative projects to meet business, schedule, and budget objectives.

    Ensures that the facility is properly maintained, including good housekeeping practices being applied, proper building maintenance is carried out, equipment maintenance and preventative maintenance is actioned and documented, etc.

    Ensures that the integrity and security of the building are maintained by adhering to communicated security protocols for the building and the network, as appropriate

    Takes every precaution reasonable in the circumstance to protect the safety of the workers in the facility, ensuring health and safety accidents

    Completes all duties and activities required for the effective and accurate processing of payroll

    Act as a point person to track internally and externally raised issues

    Performs other duties as assigned

    People + Relationship Management

    Creates standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions, ensuring staff are trained and held accountable to adhering to established work processes.

    Acts as a liaison between the employer and workers for ensuring that staff remain current on company policies and procedures, along with compliance to all applicable health, safety and environmental guidelines.

    Establishes and delivers metrics/measures and operating objectives ensuring functions are carried out with cost effectiveness and consistency with prescribed quality and performance standards.

    Takes the appropriate steps to ensure employees are appropriately managed in a manner that maintains positive employee relations while achieving productivity goals in a manner that is quality and safety-oriented.

    Carries out a variety of performance management activities, including coaching for peak performance throughout the year and completing appraisals as required.

    Provides support and assistance to the Joint Health and Safety Committee as required to ensure hazards, deficiencies or improvement opportunities are promptly addressed or remediated.

    Participates in regular meetings as required, participates in various interdepartmental meetings to resolve issues and improve efficiencies as required.

    Performs other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Post-secondary education in Operations, Supply Chain or a related field required

    7 to 10 years of progressive experience with a minimum of 2 years leading or supervising a team within a fast-paced warehousing and distribution environment

    Must have or be willing to acquire license to operate and evaluate drivers of material handling equipment

    Must have demonstrated proficiency with MS Office products, specifically Excel, and function as a key user in SAP with the ability to utilize and retrieve data efficiently and train others accordingly to use the system

    Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

    Proven multi-tasker, with a self-motivated and efficient approach to driving a successful team

    Demonstrates accountability, integrity, flexibility, adaptability, and an entrepreneurial spirit.

    Leads by influencing others, building alignment, maintaining effective relationships, and communicating with effectiveness.

    This position also includes:
