Anatolia Tile & Stone is a leading importer and distributor of ceramic and stone tile and is a major supplier to some of the largest distributors throughout the United States and Canada. Based in Toronto, Anatolia Tile & Stone is a privately owned 100% Canadian corporation that is growing rapidly. Currently we are looking for an eager, motivated HR Analyst to join our team.
Position Summary
The HR Analyst is responsible for ensuring data quality, creating and maintaining reports and dashboards for internal clients in addition to ensuring that all HR materials are in compliance with applicable rules, regulations and legislation. With particular skill in HRIS, the incumbent resolves system issues and provides guidance to end users, including identifying opportunities for systems improvements and utilization optimization.
Duties & Responsibilities
Prepares and maintains general HR paperwork and employee documentation. Liaises with stakeholders as required to ensure paperwork and documentation is complete.
Assists with the development, tracking, enforcement, and revision of HR policies.
Formulates recommendations to close gaps based on statistical data and research. Prepares presentations and reports for management, providing detailed analysis of conclusions.
Champions activities that will optimize processes for enhanced efficiency and continual improvement of HR tasks and duties
Partner with the organization on their reporting, analytics, and audit needs; including creation of dashboards and analytics on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis as well as producing ad-hoc reports for management and other departments within the company upon request.
Perform ongoing reconciliations and audits of HR and payroll data and processes to ensure data integrity and consistency; adherence to internal audit processes as well as corporate and HR policies.
Execute all payroll preparation functions such as new hire entries and affiliated bi-weekly payroll in cooperation with the finance department
Monitor and process compensation changes, ensuring they are in line with current pay scales, and executed in accordance with established schedules and documentation requirements
Responsible for the administration of Anatolia's benefits program for Canadian and US employees including benefit enrollment and terminations, enrollment changes and changes to employee deductions
Generating, maintaining and analyzing payroll, labour, overtime and other related KPIs as required
Respond to employee inquiries on compensation, benefit packages, claims process in a courteous manner and assisting in resolving any issues as needed with expediency and empathy
Review of invoices and billings for accuracy, resolving any discrepancies with providers as needed
Participate and assist in a variety of other HR initiatives as they arise
Perform other duties as assigned

Demonstrated ability to apply creative problem solving and idea generation to work tasks as occasionally required

Capability to deliver a consistently high level of customer service to internal or external customers is required, discovering and comprehending their needs and providing efficient and effective support
Understanding that work efforts and interaction with external parties may have a moderate impact on the employer brand and public reputation and as such ensure that behaviour and communications shall be professional and accurate at all times
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with peers within a work area and other departments, specifically the Finance department
Qualifications
Post-Secondary education in Human Resources or other relevant field required
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience system administration activities, in a non-unionized manufacturing or warehouse-type industry with a combination of hourly and salary staff
Experience utilizing Ceridian Dayforce HRIS & payroll systems a requirement
Demonstrated ability to apply interpretive analysis using logical, evaluative and professional approaches to define problems, collect information, determine facts, and develop effective solutions
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute creative problem solving and idea generation and the ability to effectively influence others to achieve results
Ability to provide flexible coverage to meet the needs of 24/hr operations
Must be highly organized, attentive to detail, accurate in execution of all duties
Must be able to professionally recognize, execute and balance the needs of the business as well as the needs of employees while working within a dynamic HR team environment
Demonstrates a pleasant, professional, and courteous manner at all times with an inherent selfless leadership approach
