Anatolia Tile & Stone is a leading importer and distributor of ceramic and stone tile and is a major supplier to some of the largest distributors throughout the United States and Canada. Based in Toronto, Anatolia Tile & Stone is a privately owned 100% Canadian corporation that is growing rapidly. Currently we are looking for an eager, motivated Senior Manager, Accounting Shared Services to join our team.
Position Summary
This is a newly created role with the opportunity to work in a fast paced, growing entrepreneurial environment. This senior position is responsible for overseeing the shared service functions of the Finance Department: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll. Primary responsibilities include leading the staff that manager A/P, A/R and Payroll tasks, including vendor/invoice processing, expense processing, commissions calculations, tax compliance and reporting, etc. Additional responsibilities include improving and maintaining processes in the SAP environment, assisting in the month-end close, developing and monitoring KPIs and working with both internal and external customers.
This role is a key leadership position that will be focused on customer service, process improvement, driving efficiencies and coaching & development of team members. The role will also oversee activities performed by team members in other geographic locations.
Duties & Responsibilities
Lead the day-to-day activities of the accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll teams
Manage and administer shared services controls and compliance, assisting with both internal and external audits to ensure complete, timely and accurate responses to information requests
Bring strategic change within the organization to meet organizational and departmental goals that are implemented in a continuously changing environment
Ensure excellence in the delivery of internal customer service, accuracy of processing, and adherence to established deadlines
Develop, implement and maintain systems, SOPs and policies and perform system testing
Manage CRA and IRS tax compliance reporting in accordance with established schedules; responsible for analyzing/researching tax information to develop and implement effective procedures
Review biweekly Canadian and US payroll prior to submission and review quarterly commission payments
Manage the daily operations of the SAP and Laserfiche systems; demonstrating and applying knowledge of all hardware and related software are required to support processes and continuous improvement initiatives
Research best practices, recommend changes to streamline and automate processes and improve service
Assist the Director, Finance with accounting functions including maintenance of general ledger and subledgers, journal entries and commitment to optimize and reduce time-to-close
Conduct a monthly detailed review of aging and all assigned balance sheet accounts, escalating issues as necessary to help mitigate financial risk for the company
Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
Assist with other accounting and business-related projects as required that impact Shared Services

Qualifications
10+ years of related experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Payroll
5+ years of experience in a leadership role; corporate setting experience preferred
Strong systems knowledge with advanced proficiency with SAP strongly preferred
Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, SAP and various IT systems
Distribution, Logistics or Manufacturing environment experience preferred
Strong collaboration, business partnering and interpersonal skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic entrepreneurial environment
Ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently with multiple and conflicting priorities
High energy, ownership of work and dedication and commitment to driving results

CPA designation preferred but not required for candidates with extensive relevant experience
