    Anatolia Tile & Stone is a leading importer and distributor of ceramic and stone tile and is a major supplier to some of the largest distributors throughout the United States and Canada. Based in Toronto, Anatolia Tile & Stone is a privately owned 100% Canadian corporation that is growing rapidly. Currently we are looking for an eager, motivated Business Development Director, Architecture & Design to join our team.

    About the Role:

    This position has overall responsibility for managing the Anatolia Tile & Stone relationship with the North American Market Architecture & Design Sales Channel starting with a focus on Canada. You Lead the charge, building and training a team of Architecture & Design Specialists to get Anatolia Tile & Stone products specified with the A&D Community including influencers. You will collaborate with the Business Development Directors & their teams, fostering collaboration to uncover new business opportunities and drive growth. Your creative, consultative, technical demeanor and winning attitude will drive the A&D Team to advance our long-term relationships with current and potential customers.

    What You'll Be Doing:

    Hire, retain, manage, coach and develop assigned Architecture & Design Specialists

    Bottom-Line Driven to Drive Growth: Develops plans and strategies, leading a team to prospect for new clients

    Monitor conversion and lead the effort to attain specification from Architect & Design Firms, Influencers as well as on major projects to become the leader in this space

    Create & Maintain high level relationship at key Architectural firms

    You will assist A&D Specialists to manage sales situations by conducting business development and presentation meetings

    Assist Specialists to develop deep relationships with the A&D community to build relationships through event planning, coordination and hosting knowledge sharing sessions to foster Anatolia product growth within this channel

    Establish a sales and development structure defining functions, relationships, communications, roles and responsibilities and KPIs for success

    Partnering with Marketing teams to showcase products in various marketing campaigns and promotional events

    Applies creative problem solving and transforming concepts into tangible products or services, furthering organizational objectives

    Fully understands Anatolia’s critical challenges and leads the effort to address them while leveraging our competitive strengths

    Accurately summarizes business and financial data, and consistently applies that information problem Solving and Decision Quality

    Probes deeply into issues to fully identify critical problems and root causes

    Identifies, attracts and retains talented individuals

    Demonstrates effectiveness in building and leading teams and setting high performance standards by providing support without removing accountability for optimal results

    Understand customer needs and developing and executing sales/marketing strategies with precision and effectiveness for the timely attainment of deliverables and growth

    Attend industry functions, association events and tradeshows, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends, deliver presentations for potential clients, and assist as required with preparing and submitting formal documentation, specifications, etc.

    Collaborate with all departments and take full ownership of the end-to-end sales cycle and CRM activities

    Promotes ethical conduct in interactions with others, follows through on commitments

    Maintain knowledge of and hands on success in establishing connections within the industry as well as developing partnerships with key strategic players at a high level in major geographic markets either directly or through local representatives

    Collaborates with internal and external channel teams to develop and execute channel strategy and programs

    What You Bring:

    Post-Secondary education in a related field from an accredited University, MBA considered a strong asset

    Minimum 10 years’ progressive account management experience

    Experience managing/leading and motivating a team (in office or remote) using solid management practices along with good operational and project management skills

    Demonstrated experience and ability working with extremely complex analysis and highly developed interpretive and planning skills to solve a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.

    Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail, with experience directing others

    Proven track record of successfully influencing, managing teams and growing accounts through the application of strong knowledge in business development, sales, marketing and business analysis

    Exceptional leadership, negotiation, persuasion, sales and skills with demonstrated ability to close deals and grow the business

    Enthusiastic, self-motivated, business-oriented, and passionate selling high value products to customers

    Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with strong business acumen

    Highly attentive to details, with exceptional organization and planning skills and ability to deliver results against deadlines

    25-30% of travel to customer locations and industry related conferences
