Anatolia Tile & Stone is a leading importer and distributor of ceramic and stone tile and is a major supplier to some of the largest distributors throughout the United States and Canada. Based in Toronto, Anatolia Tile & Stone is a privately owned 100% Canadian corporation that is growing rapidly. Currently we are looking for an eager, motivated Visual Merchandising Manager to join our team.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Product Development, the Visual Merchandising Manager leads the day to day marketing operations focused on the development execution of merchandising plans, the development and implementation of merchandise campaigns and the performance-oriented management of the merchandising across sales channels.
Duties & Responsibilities
Contribute to the development of the annual marketing merchandising plan across all products and channels
Development of brand/category specific communication plans
Development of merchandising dashboards and reports
Contribution to achievement of brand KPI’s
Monitor and report on consumer, competitor and brand activity with analysis and recommendations
Directing and organizing merchandising campaigns including promotional activities and trade shows to enhance brand awareness;
Ensuring correct content and prompt update of merchandising materials
Collaborate within the marketing team, cross functional teams and external agency partners to ensure seamless, executional excellence of plans and programs
Work closely with the Creative team to ensure merchandising execution aligns with overall brand marketing strategies and objectives
Be creative to constantly review how to improve plans, ideas and processes that contribute to the brand’s success
Collaboration and dissemination of the right information to the right teams
Lead governance process, ensure assets are ready on time, submitted and clear timelines are in place
Manage documentation of all merchandising programs and share with all internal and external customers
Own the P&L for the merchandising category, with a focus on growing sales, decreasing cost and improving efficiency of SKUs.
Own the vendor management of merchandising through sourcing, negotiations and order management
Qualifications
University or college degree in business, marketing or an equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job
3–5 years of relevant work experience in retailing, advertising, marketing or merchandising environment. Preferably experience in Consumer Product Goods (CPG) environment.
Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple projects
Exceptional interpersonal skills in order to effectively source information, obtain approvals and build relationships
Creative problem solver with a strong work ethic and ability to work within a team and autonomously a fast-paced environment while collaborating and working well with colleagues
Excellent analytical and negotiation skills
Knowledge of SAP and standard purchasing contracts
Ability to work within the Adobe suite preferred
Project Management experience which include leadership motivation and mentoring capabilities
Good judgment and experience in the development of creative/communications
Strategic thinker and Proactive
