    Anatolia Tile & Stone is a leading importer and distributor of ceramic and stone tile and is a major supplier to some of the largest distributors throughout the United States and Canada. Based in Toronto, Anatolia Tile & Stone is a privately owned 100% Canadian corporation that is growing rapidly. Currently we are looking for an eager, motivated Java Developer to join our growing team.

    Position Summary

    The Senior Java Developer will collect business requirements; develop, design, test, improve, and maintain software applications to automate our business processes related to our ERP and WMS

    Duties & Responsibilities

    Prepare reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software and share technical expertise during incident management life cycle including but not limited to completing and reviewing impact assessments, outage reports and facilitating communication and training with users when required.

    Complete unit and integration testing in accordance with standards and design specifications

    Assist in the collection and documentation of user requirements and the development of logical and physical specifications

    Design, write, modify, integrate and rigorously test and improve software code and applications transforming business requirements and research into successful delivery solutions that meet business goals

    Participate in scope assessment, risk and cost analysis as required, in addition to contributing to project plans, estimations and status updates as required

    Identify and communicate technical problems, processes and solutions providing support during testing cycles and post-production deployment to create quality code and defect-free programming

    Qualifications

    Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related discipline

    10 years of Java programming experience. Nice to have Java certification.

    Experience working in an SAP environment and WMS

    Demonstrated experience and ability working with and learning complex information as related to complex analysis and highly developed interpretive and planning skills to solve a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.

    Demonstrated accountability for quality, accuracy and adherence to work instructions. Receiving nominal direction regarding work responsibilities, discretion, and judgement must be exercised translating broad organizational goals into specific objectives.

    Very complex oversight demands including delivering recommendations on significant policies and provides guidance and consultation to senior management.

    Demonstrated understanding that work contributions and decisions have a major influence on the organization's operations.

    Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other departments across the organization while maintaining confidentiality and requires diplomacy to avoid conflict

    Common courtesy is involved when interacting with internal or external customers, discovering and comprehending their needs and providing efficient and effective support

    Understanding that work efforts may have a minor impact on the employer brand and public reputation and as such ensure that behavior and communications shall be professional and accurate at all times.

    Strong skills in software development and business analysis

    Extensive and current hands-on experience with Java and web applications

    Web application development experience, exposure to Rich Internet Application (RIA)

    Solid experience with Java/JSP/JSF 2.0/Maven, Spring Framework, Eclipse, SVN, XML, SQL, Hibernate, WebSphere Application Server, Apache Tomcat, and Web Service

    Ability to design front-end user interface using HTML/JavaScript/CSS/CSS3

    Experience in all phases of SDLC.

    Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to master new technology
